If you’re going to hide the authenticity code in your listing—something that has always bothered me because the risks far outweigh the benefits—then you should also hide the barcodes. 

Pro Tip: For older Chanel bags with serial numbers or newer models with embedded data matrix codes or RFID tags, you can use Google Image Search. Simply scan the barcode or data matrix code—even if the code numbers and letters are partially obscured—and you can still retrieve the full serial number.
