How to Use the “Made in France” Stamp to Authenticate Your Chanel Bag

Here’s a helpful tip on authenticating your Chanel bags.

The “Made in” stamp plays a crucial role in determining authenticity and can provide key insights into whether a bag is genuine or not.

Here are two important details to check when authenticating your bag yourself, in the perfect world of Chanel:

1. The first vertical stroke of the letter “N” in “Chanel” should align perfectly with the full letter “F” in “France.” The “F” should be directly beneath the first line of the “N” and match that line’s width.

2. The letter “E” in “France” should be perfectly aligned with the middle horizontal bar of the letter “E” in “Chanel.”

Any imperfections in these details indicate that your bag may be vintage, refurbished, defective, or counterfeit.
