Karl’s vision was different, he designed with the label (logos) on the outside. That’s why he replaced the Mademoiselle lock with the CC back-to-back logo clasp. Clients in the 80s wanted to wear labels/ brands.


Most people think that the CC interlocking logo was found on bags only after 1983 when Karl joined the house Chanel, but it was Coco Chanel’s creation, and she used it in her bags designs as a clasp-lock but rarely because (read my previous one lol)
