Behind the Color Change: The Impact of Black Jacquard Fabric on Bag Stickers
I posed this question last week, but nobody knew the correct answer.
When you mention your bag’s hologram sticker is being purple, pink, or red, I immediately conclude that the lining of your bag is solely black Jacquard. If it were white Jacquard, this would not occur. Likewise, if it were leather, this would also not happen. This phenomenon is observed only on this fabric and color for the following specific reasons:
The precise structure and texture of Jacquard fabric influence how the sticker's adhesive interacts with the fabric. Here's why:
1. Increased Surface Area: The raised patterns in Jacquard fabric provide a larger surface area for the adhesive to interact with, potentially leading to more extensive or faster chemical reactions.
2. Fiber Composition: The Jacquard fabric consists of specific types of fibers (such as synthetic fibers or specially treated fibers), these fibers react with the adhesive in a distinct manner.
3. Physical Entrapment: The unique, intricate weaving of Jacquard traps more adhesive, which impact how the adhesive ages and changes color over time.
4. Light Absorption: Black materials absorb more light than white ones, accelerating certain chemical reactions in the adhesive, leading to the color change.
I hope you found this enlightening! 💕
